Yo, Tampa. It's that time of year again. When hordes of hip kids and cool nerds meander in droves through the byways of Central Tampa, looking for stuff and snapping pics, meeting up for games of skill and dorkery.

Tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 28, folks on bikes, scooters and other two-wheeled modes of transport will be gathering en masse for the loads-of-fun annual offbeat scavenger hunt presented by Tampa Two Stroke vintage scooter club.

This year the hunt begins in Ybor and ends in Downtown. Rules are posted in the comments section of the Facebook event page.

For instance, team minimum is two players, maximum is eight. If you do not have a team, don’t worry. TTS will place you with a team day of the event. One scooter (or any motorized vehicle) counts for two people regardless if you have a passenger. Teams can have a mix of both scooters and bicycles.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. at Tre Amici @ the Ybor Bunker, 1907 N 19th St, Tampa). Official hunt starts at 11am. $5 to enter, or $3 if you bring a canned food item to donate to the needy. For more info, e-mail TTS honcho Kieran Walsh at [email protected]
