Do This: Min Pinned

This is not a joke, and apparently, it is not offensive.

Looking for something completely different to put the final nail in Monday’s coffin? How about all the gritty pomp, circumstance and spectacle of a professional wrestling bout, with the added incentive of it being comprised entirely of little people? Yep, St. Pete’s Micro Championship Wrestling: The Greatest Little Show on Earth offers just that, and it’s staging its latest ruckus at hometown venue the State Theatre. This ain’t no exploitative “midget toss” horrorshow; we’re talking about real athletes in a real competition. (Well, as “real” as pro wrestling gets, anyway.) The company started back in ‘09, took a failed shot at reality-TV immortality in 2011, and has been sweating it out ever since, its stars often appearing on other shows and alongside famous metal-band fans. Check it out or spend the rest of your life wondering. Tonight (April 11) 7 p.m., $12 adv./$15 dos/$20 VIP. State Theatre, 687 Central Ave., St. Pete. mcwnation.com
