TWO CHARACTERS: Kevin Barber and Kim Stephenson in rehearsal.

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training brings Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tennessee Williams’ later-career play-within-a-play, which follows two sibling actors as they confront their past by staging a play where they relive — and attempt to alter — their traumatizing childhood. As the plot pushes forward, the separation between memory and reality blurs, and they find themselves trapped in their past. Free admission. Mon., Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. FSU Center for the Performing Arts, Cook Theatre, 5555 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. asolorep.org.
