1. Step right up, lounge lizards: For the past half-decade, Chillounge Night has brought South Beach to Tampa Bay with a splashy array of eclectic entertainers, runway shows, fireworks and modern-swanky outdoor decor. On Saturday night, the event returns to the Burg and hits new heights with Cirque du Chill — literally, because circus-style aerialists will be performing along with Circus Sarasota’s menagerie of acts. Laugh attack: Tonight Garfunkel and Oates are headlining the Straz, Mike Birbiglia is at the Mahaffey, and Doug Benson is hosting his Doug Loves Movies podcast at 4:20 p.m. Saturday at the Improv (hee hee). 3. A show for the senses. What happens when we cannot express what’s around us but we continue to see, hear and feel? A uniquely collaborative, multi-sensory arts event with a thematic focus on Alzheimer’s disease explores the possibilities. Coordinated by Mark Feinman of jazz ensemble La Lucha, See.Hear.Feel will feature a display of eight collaborative art installations that comprise photographs by Rossie Newson, poems by Gloria Muñoz and music by La Lucha. 4. Tampa Theatre X 2: The Theory of Everything opens this weekend. Director James Marsh, who demonstrated a knack for humanizing radical heroes with his documentary about tight-wire artist Philippe Petit in the Oscar-winner Man on Wire, takes an intimate look at two decades in the life of famed British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne), and his marriage to Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones), a language and literary scholar. 5. Hit the beach! Sanding Ovations, the awe-inspiring sand-sculpting competition continues at Treasure Island Beach through Sunday.
6. They're crafty! The gallery formerly known as Florida Craftsmen — Florida CraftArt — is hosting the 17th Annual CraftArt Festival.
7. Noel … Noel? If you're among those who just cannot wait until after fall is over to get into the winter holiday spirit, head to Hyde Park for the Enchanted Tree Lighting and Lighted Street Parade in Hyde Park Saturday, 5-9 p.m., at Hyde Park Village, 740 S. 8. Make history in St. Pete: Step back in time by attending the Westward Ho to Historic Kenwood Tour. St. Petersburg Preservation’s walking tour meanders through one of the country’s premier bungalow neighborhoods 10 a.m.-noon. and includes a peek inside one of the homes for you busybodies. Meet up at the Craftsman House, 2955 Central Ave. Afterward, enjoy a drink or lunch on the front deck back at the neighborhood’s original model home. Cost is $5. Register at stpetepreservation.org. If you like your tour on wheels, History Bike Tampa is heading to the Burg with a ride co-presented with St Pete Bike Co-op. 9. Aquatic nom noms: Tampa will be basking in maritime goodness at the 2nd Annual Seaboard Seafood Festival. On Sunday, a panel of “celebrity” judges will determine which local seafood nosheries take home awards for their grub alongside the crowd at this annual food fest along the waterfront. The items to be judged include signature seafood dishes ($5), soups ($3) and deviled crabs ($3). A stone crab and seafood boil, cash bar, live entertainment, arts vendors and more will also be featured. Captains’ Club ticket purchases get you reserved seating, as well as access to a seafood buffet and open bar. Leashed pooches are permitted.
