Free movie, eh: The International Film Series at Eckerd College shows free movies from around the world on select Friday nights, but this week's installment just ventured up a country to Canada for the 2015 Guy Madden Halloween-friendly The Forbidden Room. The freaky story follows a mysterious woodsman and a submarine isn't for everyone. Filled with flash cuts and blurry images, the film has the dubious honor of having the biggest walkout in Sundance history. Filmed in English; 7 p.m., Oct. 30, in the Dan and Mary Miller Auditorium. Next Friday's movie is Einstein in Guanajuato and the Friday after that, The Assassin.
Nom, nom, vroom, vroom: The World's Largest Food Truck Rally 4 feeds your face several different ways and hopes once again to break the Guinness World Record for most food trucks in one place. Comedy's cuddliest stoner: The Tampa Improv welcomes back Doug Benson, regular guest on Comedy Central's @midnight and star of the documentary spoof Super High Me, who may slur his speech time to time and seem a little out of it, but that's just an act ... depending on his last smoke. Benson is clever, prolific writer, so you can't go wrong with one of his shows. Be sure to catch a filming of his podcast Doug Loves Movies at 4:20 p.m. (snicker).
