Bradenton's South Florida Museum gets totally spaced-out tonight for the Bishop Planetarium's Think + Drink (Science), where you can grab a beer or a glass of wine (or a soft drink) and learn about cutting-edge science in a relaxed, informal setting from 7 to 9 p.m. Tonight's program, "What's It Like to Work on the Space Shuttle: The Misadventures of a Space Cadet," comes to us courtesy of Gregory Cecil Gregory N. Cecil, M.A.S., a Florida State Certified Educator, Nationally Certified Aerospace Technician, and former Senior Aerocomposite Technician for the Space Shuttle Fleet. In St. Pete, the holidays become healthier when Boley's Jingle Bell Run takes over Spa Beach Park at 7:30 p.m. Thousands of people walking, jogging and jingling their way along the waterfront. The noncompetitive, jingling one-mile walk or 3-mile event will feature registration in advance onsite to receive T-shirts and bells. Or register online here.
