Donate scrap metal to benefit the Tempus Projects' Scrapping for the Arts fundraiser

"Scrapping for the Arts is an alternate fund raising structure for emerging exhibition spaces and cultural institutions. Donations of scrap metal are collected, sorted and used to generate funds to support unique arts projects in need of small capital contributions.

The recycling of metal commodities is a popular way for many who want to supplement their income. Many businesses discard metal that is able to be sold to scrap yards by individuals; the scrap buyers have developed a quick and efficient system of weighing, separating and paying for these commodities.

The Scrapping for the Arts project uses this system with the help of sponsor businesses to generate a more or less constant flow of funds to identified beneficiary nonprofit arts organizations. Arts organizations that wish to benefit from this system will develop their list of sponsor businesses and Scrapping for the Arts will develop the pick-up schedule, sorting of commodities and transportation to the scrap yards.

Donations are tax deductible at market value of the material, to extent provided by law." --Experimental Skeleton INC. / Hampton Arts Management

Get rid of your old scrap metal and help out local artists in the same turn. Tempus Projects is asking for donations of metal scraps for their 'Scrapping for the Arts' project. The scrap will be turned in to be recycled, the cash received going toward funding local artists.

Tempus Projects is enthusiastic about this unique fundraiser, as it allows them to recycle and create funding without asking for cash donations.

Simply bring your scrap metal to the space during a reception or they can arrange to pick it up from you. Any contributions, big or small are appreciated. And pass the word along to anyone else who might have old scrap metal they have no use for, namely those in construction, auto repair, plumbing, etc.
