Eddie Trunk crashes Red Dragon Cartel show

Hard rock expert Eddie Trunk and guitar legend Jake E. Lee share the spotlight at the Largo Cultural Center.

It’s an evening of pure rock n’ roll, but just remember to bring your reading glasses along. Rock legends Eddie Trunk and Jake E. Lee team up to bring you a rare experience in which the worlds of literature and heavy metal collide.

Lee is a guitarist most notorious for his work with Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands decades ago (albums "Bark At The Moon" and "The Ultimate Sin" more specifically), but you can see his new band Red Dragon Cartel right here at the Largo Cultural Center; and if you show up early, you can catch a special appearance and book signing by Trunk — a renowned music industry veteran regarded as an expert of all things hard rock and heavy metal.

You may know Trunk as the host of the weekly VH1 Classic That Metal Show which he hosts and co-produces, or from “Trunk Nation,” his music, interview and talk program on SiriusXM.

Meet Trunk in person and get your copy of his book “Eddie Trunk’s Essential Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Volume II" signed tonight, Fri., March 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. The read was released in Sept. 2013 and follows suit to many of the highly-praised elements of Volume I, such as the layout and exclusive live photography — however, this particular volume focuses on some less mainstream bands than the last.

The book signing is only open to attendees of the Red Dragon Cartel show (8 p.m.), so make sure to stick around and watch Trunk emcee throughout the night.
