HBO's Boardwalk Empire looks like a certified hit after 7 million viewers tuned in for last weekend's premiere. The numbers were so good that HBO, in search of it's next Sopranos-sized hit, has already ordered a second season despite having only airing the first episode.
A sprawling exterior set of the Atlantic City boardwalk was constructed expressly for Empire. The surprise is that the set was in Brooklyn, an extension of the renowned Coney Island boardwalk.
