This blog is dedicated to all of the local filmmakers out there who want to showcase their movies. Here is a roundup of three upcoming worldwide deadlines, all around mid-December. So if you think you have a worthy film, don't hesitate and submit it to one of these international competitions. Who knows? you might end up being shipped to New Delhi, or partying with celebs in a fancy Naples establishment.   


TIFF KIDS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL


Toronto, Canada
April 7-19, 2015

Deadline: December 12, 2014

The 18th Annual TIFF Kids International Film Festival, has a plethora of diverse programming, mainly Canadian but also international, and has become one of the largest children's film festivals in the world. Each April, new complex ideas are fostered while entertaining children and parents with the most outstanding children's films ever produced.

The tremendous success of the previous event, more than 30,000 audience members, has led to the launching of the TIFF Kids section at the Toronto International Film Festival. Submissions of features, shorts, and animation are invited for competition.

Raise the bar with your filmmaker team, and you could be recognized with awards including Audience Choice Awards, Young People's Jury Awards or Adult Jury Awards. The festival guides all accepted films to right hands by promoting contacts between industry professionals and educators.



PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Palm Beach and Naples, Florida - USA
March 26-April 2, 2015

Celebrate two wonderful decades at the 20th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival. (PBIFF) Gorgeous Palm Beach has been the Mecca of international cinema on the Atlantic Ocean. PBIFF is expanding to Naples, Fla., for its 20th edition. The festival is also a great destination for independent theater owners and bookers, giving filmmakers a unique networking opportunity. Who knows? maybe even you could book a theatrical spin-off or run your movie in a local theater.

The festival gives awards and prizes to documentaries, shorts, narrative features, and music videos, alike. its participants have discounts at fine hotels, ground transportation to and from the Palm Beach International Airport, and between the exciting events.

PBIFF has two unique partnerships this time around. The first one with world-renowned Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and for the first time this year, with the Sundance Institute. With these to cine-giants working together, the highly anticipated festival should bring unique programming to dedicated cinema fans year after year.


CMS VATAVARAN - ENVIRONMENT& WILDLIFE FILM FESTIVAL

New Delhi — India
October 9-12, 2015

The eighth Annual CMS VATAVARAN — International Environment & Wildlife Film Festival and Forum takes action on issues that have an environmental impact on our planet. A great platform for filmmakers in India and internationally who passionately inspired by a green calling to protect nature through their craft.

CMS VATAVARAN sparks development of educational resources, drawing from an intricate network of Indian and international filmmakers, researchers, environmentalists, journalists, students and nature lovers.

Travel and accommodations are taken care of for all nominated filmmakers at CMS VATAVARAN. Eighteen awards will be given in 11 categories, and cash prizes range from INR 50,000 to 1,50,000.
