Flock to St. Pete’s Weedon Island for Saturday’s guided bird walk

Watch out for poop.

Florida is home to plenty of birds, which means more chances of getting pooped on (some say it means good luck, but either way, you have shit on your shirt). Grab the kids, or a bird fanatic friend and hit Weedon Island Preserve’s wading bird walk guided tour to learn the marks and behaviors of common wading birds. Wear your supportive walking shoes for the 1-2 mile guided hike of the trails.

Before you hit the ground running, attendees will receive a quick overview of what birds to look out for and tips for the bird watching session. Register before showing up day of tour.

Sat. Nov. 16, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Free. Weedon Island Preserve, 1800 Weedon Dr. NE, St. Petersburg. Eventbrite.com
