FMoPA’s International Photography Competition: Have you entered yet?

You have until 5 p.m. this Friday (Apr. 13) night.

Attention, serious shutterbugs! How are your photo skills? Pretty good? Awesome? Hmmm. Maybe so, but are you among the best of the best? You can find out. Creative Loafing Tampa (hey, that's us!) is the media sponsor for the 8th Annual International Photography Competition. This worldwide photo competition historically sees entries from photographers with all types of experience. A jury will select the winners; FMoPA will announce them on May 4. The winners will hang in the Community Gallery June 1-Aug. 17, with a reception on June 22.

Categories include People/Portraits, Places/Landscape/Drone, Nature/Science/Animals, Documentation/Social and Political Photojournalism, Still Life, Abstract Photography and Conceptual Photography; the jury will award first, second and third place in each category. First place winners will get $100 each. Jurors will choose one entry as Best in Competition; that entry will come with a $1,000 prize. The public will select a People's Choice via the competition website (each vote will cost $1).

Photographers may submit as many entries as they'd like via an online submission process; each entry carries a non-refundable entry fee. All entries due by 5 p.m. on Apr. 13. Learn more, submit a photo and bookmark this link to vote for people's choice here.
