Chicago Dramatists debuted A Steady Rain — a play about how a fateful arrests changes of the lives of two cops and lifetime friends — in 2007, and it opened for a 12-week run on Broadway in September 2009, starring Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman, breaking the box office record for the highest weekly gross of a non-musical production on Broadway for the week ending Sept. 20, 2009. Time listed the drama No. 2 in its Top 10 plays of 2009.
