There's also a scavenger hunt highlighting local women who have done great things.

$14.95 for one adult and one child; $12.95 for seniors, students and military; kids under 6, free.

This Mother's Day, give your mom the gift of... history? Yup, history. The Tampa Bay History Center announced they'll offer one free admission for kids 7-17 with every paid adult admission. The historians at the Center will host a special Mother's Day scavenger hunt that highlights women of note throughout Tampa Bay's history. The Center's also offering 10% off select items in its store. 

Currently on display at the Tampa Bay History Center: American Flags: The Stars and Stripes in American History and Culture, a showcase of hand-woven American flags, some of which dating to the late 18th century. The Tampa Bay History Center also features an extensive maps collection, a pirate exhibit, early Tampa Bay ephemera and a community display case.
