Big Poppi shows up Rays by "running" the bases like a pregnant yak.
It took Fat Sloppy, aka David Ortiz, over 30 seconds to trot around the bases after a solo home run Monday night off Wade Davis. What's worse is Davis didn't answer with a fastball between the numbers on Ortiz' next at bat. If Sloppy has a problem with that, charge the mound and lets dance, thickness. Next time he just might pick up the pace. The Rays lame explanations sounded like a bunch of testicley-challenged kids accustomed to being bullied, reasoning with themselves on why they were just embarrassed in front of their friends and giving excuses for the bully. How we long for the days of Johnny Gomes.
Joe Madden and Carl Crawford ejected for being right
Merlot Joe went whiskey on an ump for calling a strike on a pitch that hit the mascot…practically. Both he and Carl Crawford beat the traffic out of the Trop before things got really ugly. The team was so fired up, they answered with a sweep. On the bristley side. That'll teach those bastards to mess with us in our own backyard. By the way, when's the next road trip?
