The Blair Witch Project director Dan Myrick has announced plans to spend 10 days shooting a new horror web series in Ybor City, and the county could pay $40,000 in incentives to help with the project.

That sum would be paid to Pinstripe Productions, which could spend up to $400,000 in Hillsborough during the production of the series. The Tampa Bay Times reported that an application for the incentive says that Pinstripe’s expenses would include $50,000 for five principal actors, $10,000 for eight members of the supporting cast and $250,000 for 43 crew members.

Tentatively titled Lost Ybor, the series is set to film over the summer and feature Ybor City landmarks like the Cuban Club. According to the Times, Myrick rewrote the script to include the district as a character.

Pinstripe — driven by a grandchild of late New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, Robert Malloy — just wrapped filming on a film called I Saw A Man With Yellow Eyes, which starred Harry Connick Jr. and Katherine Heigl.
