Was Tampa's RNC moment in the spotlight stolen by a tawdry reality show about a self-described redneck child on the beauty pageant circuit?

TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo— a show about a kid powered by "go-go juice," who spouts off stripperisms like "a dolla makes me holla" — won out over the GOP. More Americans watched the controversial reality show than Mitt Romney's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, according to Nielsen ratings, Us Weekly and The Hollywood Reporter.

Honey Boo Boo is about 7-year-old Alana Thompson and her "redneck" family. The program bested Tampa's RNC shindig with nearly 3 million viewers tuning in for its fourth episode on Thursday night. If anything, conservatives should be comforted that family values are alive and well in the U.S. of A.

Here's a collection of some favorite tweets about Clint Eastwood's conceptual invisible-chair speech at the RNC, @CL_Arts.
