Wordier Than Thou—the kids who actually read the books they got from those magical catalogues—are bringing the nostalgic comfort of book fairs to St. Petersburg this weekend.

The Jack Kerouac House hosts this “underground” meet and shop with local authors, booksellers, vinyl and collectible pop-up shops, along with artists and other cool organizations. Authors will read and discuss their works, and shops and organizations will talk about what they do.

Drinks will be available for a donation to the house (a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the writer’s last home).

Registration is still open for vendors and authors for $13.39-$30.32.

There is no cover for The Underground Book Fair happening Saturday, June 14 at The Jack Kerouac House of St. Petersburg.

Readers are invited to submit their own events to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay’s things to do calendar.
