Kevin Smith: Fat, 40 and going online to talk about it

What happens when the guy who's famous for refusing to grow up — and writes about others like him in movies — officially hits middle age? Find out this Saturday, Oct. 23, at 9:30 p.m., when EPIX premieres the original comedy special Kevin Smith: Too Fat For 40.

Fans can connect in real time with Smith at 3 p.m., several hours before the hour-long event that will be streamed at www.EpixHD.com/Kevin-Smith.

Participants can submit and have questions answered by the acclaimed screenwriter and director (Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma) while simultaneously connecting with other fans attending the online. Smith will select some of the questions and answers for his special later that night.

Described as a no-holds-barred concert, the show spotlights the award-winning filmmaker and raconteur at the historic Count Basie Theater in Smith's hometown, Red Bank, N.J.
