Grab your favorite necklace, and bring it to Tampa’s Lab Theater Project for “Lies,” a Jerry Slaff play that’s being presented both online and in-person through Nov. 22.
Directed by Pete Clapsis, the work is set in 1950 and addresses what a press release calls “the question [of] whether one lie is enough to question all truths.”
Sound familiar?
Theplay—starring Katherine Stenzel and William Statzer—takes place in Jersey, but you only have to go to Ybor for performancetimes set for Thu.-Sat. (8 p.m.), and Sunday
matinee (3 p.m.). If you’re gonna see the play in-person know that only 10 seats are available per performance, making for an extremely intimate experience. For the livestream—in black & white, mind you—audience members will be emailed a link for home viewing the day of the performance. Tickets to support the local theater, located 812 E. Henderson Ave. in Ybor City, are $28 whether you’re watching in-person or online.
Did we mention bringing a necklace? More information is at labtheaterproject.com.
