Just call them the streak busters.

That is the most appropriate term that can be used to describe this Tampa Bay Lightning team, as they broke an opponents 8-game win streak for the second time in less then 48 hours, this time at the hands of the New Jersey Devils, 2-1.

“We prepared real hard to play against these guys,” head coach Guy Boucher said. “They were the unbeatable team, just like Phoenix with an 8-game streak.”

The first period in this one got off to a cautious start, with each team not giving up much and trying to get a feel for the other. Patience, with a touch of intensity was the feel to take away from the first half of this game. The Lightning would head to the intermission with a slight advantage in shots.
