Following the trend of reorganization in the St. Petersburg arts community, the Morean Arts Center and Seaboard Partners have reached an agreement to relocate clay classes from the Morean Arts Centers building at 719 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg to the Historic Seaboard Coastline Train Station, home of the St. Petersburg Clay Company and Highwater Clays. The move will make room for the Moreans projected Glass Studio and Hotshop, a nod to the Centers five-year talks with the Chihuly Studio in Seattle to house a large collection of the artists drawings and glass works. Already part owner of the Train Station, Beth Morean recently purchased the remainder of the building as part of the organization's restructuring efforts.
