The Tampa Convention Center is gearing up to host the 6th Annual Tampa Tattoo Arts Convention October 18 through Oct. 20. The weekend-long event is set to host 400 tattoo artists from around the world, and they'll all have their machines and flash sheet books handy so that attendees can get inked.

Not ready to get more body art but want in on the action?

There will be meet and greets packed with celebrities from tattoo-centered television shows like Ink Master, Tattoos After Dark and Best Ink — but the celebs are even bringing their machines to ink some locals.

We're hoping to catch a glimpse of Tampa local Jordan "Dollarz Tatu" Ginsberg from the MTV's How Far is Tattoo Far, and the Oxygen Network hit series Best Ink.

There'll also be a special guest appearance by the handlebar-mustached Paul Teutul Sr. from the Discovery Channel series American Chopper, plus scores of vendors on-site and loaded up with tattoo industry supplies, clothing, artwork and jewelry.

Are you inked up and feeling competitive? The convention is hosting daily tattoo competitions for attendees to show off their body art.

When you’re not under the needle or browsing through books, you can catch performances by The Olde City Sideshow, Marlo Marquise (AKA the “Dark Diamond of Burlesque”) and Alakazam “The Human Knot.”  Have your camera ready, and Aquaphor in your back pocket, it's gonna be a wild ride.

Ink enthusiasts can slide by with a day pass for $20, or opt for a 3-day pass for $40.

Times for the event are 2 p.m.-midnight Friday, 11 a.m.-midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday.
