A new pun-heavy axe tossing company recently opened a location in the Tampa Bay Area.

Bury The Hatchet Axe Throwing, whose motto is “Axe-cellent customer experience is the key to our success,” opened a new Brandon location on October 4.

The New Jersey-based company has 13 locations nationwide, with their new 939 Oakfield Dr. location in the Tampa suburb being their most recent.

The concept of axe throwing may seem weird to some, but the company offers a 15 minute safety and training session to teach you how to do it without chopping someone’s head off. They even serve beer, in case you need some liquid courage.

The three-year old company hosts “private events with 90-plus people for any occasion,” according to their website, and If you really love it that much, they even have leagues you can join.

You can visit their website to book one of their six double alleys, or you can visit them Mondays-Thursdays from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. for walk-ins.

It’s $39.99 per person for a two-hour session, and leave the little ones at home, as you need to be 14 years or older to participate.
