On Sale Saturday: Bill Maher

Comedian Bill Maher performs here in July. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.

Could there be a better time for Bill Maher to come to Tampa Bay?

The acid-tongued comedian has made a name for himself by punching holes in political arguments, dishing out harsh criticism of government and the media that covers it, and frustrating pundits on the right.

Sometimes he pisses off the left as well. It's just who he is.

Maher will take the stage at Ruth Eckerd Hall on July 9 for an evening of comedy and commentary that will surely include a sarcastic analysis of where we're at and how we got there. And really, the timing will be perfect: Trump will have been in office for about six months, and we might have a new Supreme Court Justice, or a wall, or maybe a surprise or two. Instead of debating predictions and possibilities, Maher will have actual policy and legislation to analyze and critique. Fans will enjoy a perspective similar to what they've been getting on television for years: A Real Time, Politically Incorrect evening of laughs, rants and rules coming straight from the left-leaning ringmaster himself.

So if you want tickets, it's best to get them this weekend. They go on sale Saturday.

Here's a typical, politically-charged Maher rant:
