On the Radar: Eric Clapton: Crossroads 2010 and Elvis on Tour at a theater near you

the sold- out, day-long Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago’s Toyota Park. Clapton inaugurated the fest in 2004, and it benefits The Crossroads Centre (founded by Clapton), a treatment and education facility for the chemically dependent. Star cameos on the doc range from ZZ Top to BB King, Jeff Beck, Vince Gill, John Mayer and Sheryl Crow. Elvis on Tour, 7 p.m. Thurs., July 29; Eric Clapton, 7:30 p.m. Tues., July 27; both films screen at Citrus Stadium Park Mall 20, 7999 Citrus Park Town Center Mall, Tampa. First up: Elvis. He could thrust his pelvis in a way that made the ladies scream (and cry). He had an inimitable voice and style, and he forever changed rock ‘n’ roll. He was The King, and he would’ve been 75 this year. In honor of Elvis Presley, movie theaters across the country screen Elvis on Tour: 75th Anniversary Celebration for one night only.
