SNL enjoys a lot of time in the headlines these days, but in the beginning, the show shined thanks, in no small part, to Gilda Radner who won Emmys for the way she hilariously skewered TV advice gurus and news anchors. An Emmy and Oscar-nominated, Lisa D’Apolito-directed 2018 documentary (Love, Gilda) draws from Radner’s journals, letters and diaries in telling the life story of a talent who left the world all too soon (Radner died at 42 after a battle with ovarian cancer). Donations collected at this screening benefit St. Petersburg’s Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

Mon. Sept. 9, 6:30 p.m. Free with registration. Hideaway Café, St. Petersburg. daddykool.com.
