Who hasn’t ever woken up in the morning, heard the birds singing, smelled that fresh, humid, Summer air and thought “God, what I wouldn’t give to be churning butter right now”? Luckily, the Manatee Village Historical Park will let you do just that, along with a bevy of other historical activities, throughout July.
Every Tuesday at 10 a.m., families can come participate in free activities like designing cattle brands, tasting cane syrup, and yes, churning butter. Each day will have its own theme, such as Civil War day, blacksmith day and pioneer fun day. This Tuesday is Pioneer Food Day.
Admission is free but you gotta register children must be chaperoned and, yeah, even though it's a food day, you might wanna pack a lunch.
