PBS tackles the history of funny

The promo is probably right: This is not a job for Jim Lehrer (props to him, though, for making fun of himself). But PBS' Make 'Em Laugh promises to showcase several generations of American comedians for whom funny was an art, and if the snippets on the website are any indication — interviews with George Carlin, Jonathan Winters, Roseanne Barr, to name a few — the series should be a keeper.
