On Friday, Sept. 17, city dwellers across the country converted the an everyday slab of asphalt into the serene and magical on National Park(ing) Day.
Residents of Tampa participated in the nationwide event by converting parking spaces downtown into welcoming retreats.
From picnic tables to paper shelters to origami birds, local participants came up with beautiful and unique ways to challenge our perceptions of how we use space to park ourselves — both automotively and otherwise.
