Rustad vibin' out with masked Richard Nixon.

Psychiatrist by day, political parody musician by night — Dr. James Rustad is a busy man. Rustad is a Tampa psychiatrist and professor at USF Morsani College of Medicine. On nights and weekends, he pursues his other passion: music.

Head over to Sacred Grounds Coffee House this Saturday, March 22, for Rustad’s show from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Rustad offers more than just your run-of-the-mill musical entertainment.

His shows are complete with original ballads poking fun at well-known politicians like Chris Christie, the Bush family and good ol’ American crook President Richard Nixon. His band mates often don masks of said politicians — because what’s more entertaining than George Bush on bass?

Sacred Grounds is at 4819 E Busch Blvd #104, Tampa, 813-983-0837, sacredgroundstampa.comCan’t wait till the weekend to get your fix? Peruse Rustad’s lyrics and videos on his website at jamesrustad.com or follow him on Twitter @JamesRustadsong.
