Oh, Lost. How I marvel at your ability to deliver entertaining episodes with strong performances by central characters we love but advance the plot of the story only mere inches at a time. Tuesday night's sexy, Sawyer-centered episode "Recon," answered some questions, glossed over others and focused a lot on a single character in both the island and Sideways worlds.
I have mixed feelings about this episode: I enjoyed it while I was watching it (because of the great actors, mainly, as usual), but when it was over I remembered it was an episode from the final season of Lost — and so it should have been a lot better. I said last week that "Dr. Linus" was slow paced in the same way "What Kate Does" is. I was wrong. "Recon" was much weaker than the past two episodes, albeit the show's construction was the same.
