Simon & Schuster

Tombolo Books and Allendale United Methodist Church welcome children's book author Rob Sanders who'll read from his latest, Peaceful Fights for Equal Rights, which publisher Simon & Schuster describes as "a primer for peaceful protest, resistance, and activism." If you've read Sanders' Rodzilla and Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag, then you know that this is a wholly appropriate way to show kids how to fight for what they believe in. No word if Sanders will read while taking a knee.

Rob Sanders | Allendale United Methodist Chuch, 3803 Haines Road N., St. Petersburg | Oct. 27: 2 p.m. | No fee to attend, but the organizing bookstore requests that you please purchase a copy from Tombolo Books if you plan on attending the event |
