When Teddy Roosevelt gave his Speech at the Sorbonne in 1910, there was no way he could have predicted that it would apply so perfectly to Flugtag, Red Bull’s globe-trotting competition of people who build flying machines and then watch them plunge nearly 30-feet into the water below. The show stopped at the Tampa Convention Center last Saturday where 28 teams took part in the tradition—with one, Flug Shag, coming out on top thanks to a flight of 51 feet.
