Self-guided Sunday tour opens historic V.M. Ybor homes to the public

The journey starts at Cuscaden Pool.

The V.M. Ybor community is opening the doors on eight of the neighborhood’s most eclectic homes this weekend, but your journey starts with a tour of the Cuscaden Pool, which is HQ for the afternoon.

If crowds usually deter you from taking tours, know that the V.M. Ybor Home Tour is self-guided, so you can take your time at each location and steer clear of any loud groups. At Cuscaden, attendees receive a wristband so residents know you’re not a regular trespasser, neighborhood maps to keep you from getting off track and a booklet packed with info on each of the featured properties.

Parking is available at Cuscaden Pool and in grass lots located on the 1400 block of 17th Avenue.

Sun. Nov. 10, 12 p.m.-4 p.m. $15. Cuscaden Park, 2900 North 15th St. local.cltampa.com.
