Each year, the Shruti Foundation hosts its family-friendly East West Dance festival, where talented dancers and artists from Tampa Bay and beyond “stretch hands across geographic and cultural divides” through the universal language of song and dance.

This year's East West Dance Festival happens on Sunday, Feb. 19 from 1 p.m.-7 p.m. at Water Works Park in Tampa—admission is free.

Food trucks, vendors, guided yoga and other activities will take over the park’s grassy lawn while its bandshell hosts dozens of lively bands and performers including Bay area jazz scene giant La Lucha.

Although this festival is free to attend, donations can be made via Eventbrite.
