crazythingsparentstext.com/ is their website so you can check out what it's all about. I have to say some of them made me say meh. However there are some real gems in there that I cannot imagine coming from my Midwestern working class intellectual parents, but they belong to another generation. The day my mom texts me asking what (.)(.) means is the day I drop dead.


I give this one a thumbs sideways, because you have to dig for the gems. It's not as good as shitmydadsays. And frankly comes off as a copycat scheme, of someone trying to take advantage of a meme that wasn't.

One of my only fears, besides a hooker with cold hands, is imagining my parents sex life. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they had one for obvious reasons, but I don't think I can Etch-A-Sketch an image like that out of my head. This is what the authors of the new book Crazy Things Parents Text are betting on. The website is growing in popularity, however, there are inherent dangers in betting on internet memes. I just read yesterday about the death of planking. As I read it and was relieved at its short life until I got to the end and saw that it was replaced by something equally, if not worse, stupid called owling. Memes are notoriously short unless you're talking about cats. But I digress ...
