A quick release-date update: Sony has revealed that Spider-Man 4 will be hitting theaters on May 6, 2011. Director Sam Raimi is on board, and I'd expect that with the original director back, Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst would sign on if asked. (Of course, Dunst may be on the outs.) With two years to go before the release, at least the overwhelming hype is still months away.
