CITY OF ST. PETE/ FLICKR

St. Petersburg’s SHINE Mural Festival is all about beautifying the Sunshine City by splashing paint on the wall, but organizers are teaming up with the Suncoast Surfrider Foundation and PangeaSeed Foundation, and inviting art fans to get trashed by splashing around at North Shore Park for a beach cleanup. The 8 a.m. activity starts at the North Shore Pier, and your reward will be a clean conscience and the early morning views of the mural Cecilia Lueza has been working on over the last few days.

Sat. Oct. 26, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. North Shore Park, 901 N. Shore Dr. NE., St. Petersburg. shinemuralfest.com.
