American Stage in St. Petersburg is offering two ways to see its holiday show when “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” kicks off Dec. 18.
The first showings of the play, which run through Dec. 22, are live virtual performances. Kickoff night, Dec. 18, will even feature a live chatback. After that, from Dec. 23-27, pre-recorded showings of the American holiday classic reimagined as a 1940s radio broadcast can be viewed within six hours of specific showtimes.
Prices range from $30-$40, and tickets online or over the phone.
And if you can’t wait until then to get some American Stage into your life, screenings of the theater’s other December show—“Nosotros La Gente”—kicked off on Dec. 2, with replays happening Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 16-20.
The show features Diana Garle and Daniel Llaca, a real-life couple that lives together, meaning they can interact intimately without endangering each other. It began its run on Dec. 2, and a pre-recorded version of the 85-minute-long show is available to watch at select showtimes throughout its run ending on Dec. 20. Chatbacks with the actors—both making their debut at American Stage—are set for Dec. 11 and Dec. 16.
Tickets for individual pre-recorded performance streams of “Nosotros La Gente” are $15.
