Steve-O brings his jackassery to the Improv tonight through Sunday

Steve-O, a.k.a. Stephen Glover, has puked, prat-falled and danced his way into our hearts by way of his buffoonery on MTV's Jackass, the ensuing films based on the nutty gag show, his zany travelogue Wild Boys and a puzzlingly sincere, post-injury stint on Dancing With the Stars.

The outlandish performer is a master of physical comedy and knows his way around a few jokes. See him live tonight at the Improv and see what he's like in the confines of a theater stage. Hopefully he won't hurt himself or upchuck his cocktail.

What's interesting about Steve-O is that he's always craftier and more intelligent than his goofy demeanor would lead us to believe, and he has wide range of experience behind him. For instance, did you know that he's a graduate of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey's Clown College? Not long after graduating from that esteemed institution, Steve-O made a play for the big time and his videos of humor and stunts made it into the hands of Jeff Tremaine (Jackass Creator/Director/Producer) who was working with Johnny Knoxville to create a stunt-based reality show.

See Steve-O's stand-up show at the Tampa Improv tonight through Sunday. He performs tonight at 8 p.m., tomorrow at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for Fri.-Sat shows, $22 for Sunday. Tonight's show is 18 and up, improvtampa.com, 813-864-4000.
