From 1985-1992 “The Golden Girls” gave sitcom lovers a glimpse into the lives of four roommates, all over the age of 60. And to our surprise, their lives were sassier than we could’ve ever imagined. With the help of puppets, “That Golden Girls Show!”—described as an “evening of cheesecake, laughter, jazzercise, shoulder pads, sex and the elegant art of the quick-witted put-downs”—takes on the love-hate relationships between Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia and Rose.

Need to pregame with some bubbles? Maestro’s Restaurant at the Straz Center hosts a Golden Girls brunch at 11:30 a.m. featuring hostess, drag diva Miss McGee plus bottomless mimosas, bloody marys and a fully-stocked buffet. Brunch for one costs $45, which includes tax and gratuity.

'The Golden Girls Show!' Sun. Jan. 26,  2 p.m. $35.50 & up. Ferguson Hall at David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 N. Macinnes Pl., Tampa. strazcenter.org
