Even with the red tide, Tampa Bay has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, and millions of internet reviews seem to agree.
This morning, the popular travel website Tripadvisor released its annual “Best of the Best Beaches” of America’s best beaches of 2023, and Florida had a few patches of sand make the cut.
For the second year in a row, Siesta Beach on Siesta Key landed at No. 2. Siesta Beach also made Tripadvisor’s list of Best Beaches in the World ranking at No. 11. The silky white sanded beach fell short to Ka'anapali Beach in Lahaina, Hawaii, which ranked No. 1 on the list.
Locally, St. Pete Beach climbed back up the ladder to the No. 14 spot after being ranked No. 22 last year. Clearwater Beach came in at No. 23 after ranking No. 1 in the country in 2019.
Other Florida beaches that made this year's list were Destin’s Henderson Beach State Park, St. Augustine Beach, Panama City Beach, Pensacola Beach and Marathon’s Sombrero Beach.
