The heat is coming and not only because of summer.

The Tampa Bay Inferno women’s tackle football team will return to the field next week against the Jacksonville Dixie Blues.

The home opener game on Saturday, April 16 will take place at Sickles High School in northwest Tampa with kick-off scheduled at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at the gate—located at 7950 Gunn Hwy.—and will be $10 for adults and $5 for students, seniors and military.

The Tampa Bay Inferno is part of the growing Women’s Football Alliance and is coached by Arlo Henderson, who has extensive experience on personal performance and football skills.

According to its website, the 46-player roster is “committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment” that reflects its diverse fan base.

Over the years, the team has gained prominence and success, adding to the title of “Champa” Bay. The Infernos have been crowned champions of the South Atlantic Division from 2016-2019.

And they will come back to do it again.
