The inaugural Powerstories Voices of Women Theatre Festival—featuring 18 female playwrights, ages 17 and up, from all around the country and Canada—happens online and in-person, at 2105 W Kennedy Blvd., starting Wednesday, Oct. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 17.
The productions run the gamut from short to full length, comedy to drama, family-friendly to not so much. Topics include women’s suffrage, queer relationships, religion, depression, sexuality, abuse, self-doubt, and living in a global pandemic.
Single show tickets are $15 or get a festival pass for $99 which includes all the plays and post-show talkback discussions with cast and crew.
