Tampa Powerstories ‘Voices of Women Theatre Festival’ runs through next weekend

Playwrights from the US and Canada are being showcased.

The inaugural Powerstories Voices of Women Theatre Festival—featuring 18 female playwrights, ages 17 and up, from all around the country and Canada—happens online and in-person, at 2105 W Kennedy Blvd., starting Wednesday, Oct. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 17.

The productions run the gamut from short to full length, comedy to drama, family-friendly to not so much. Topics include women’s suffrage, queer relationships, religion, depression, sexuality, abuse, self-doubt, and living in a global pandemic. 

Single show tickets are $15 or get a festival pass for $99 which includes all the plays and post-show talkback discussions with cast and crew.
