After embracing Shakespearean comedies and romances, Jobsite Theater has put tragedy back on the agenda. Robert Richards Jr. (Othello) and Tatiana Baccari (Desdemona), along with the rest of Othello’s cast, will stage a case study on the progression (or regression?) of racial politics during this reimagining of a Shakespeare classic rife with dirty politicians, gaslighting, cultural conundrums and more.
Opening night is on January 11, but there are preview performances running on January 9 and 10. Regular performances run through February 3.
