A rodent of unusual size probably wasn't going to keep you away from the March 13 screening of "The Princess Bride," but novel coronavirus is. The showing is canceled.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair to downtown Tampa on Friday when Tampa Theatre opens its outdoor movies series (stylized, “parkCINEMA”) to Julian B. Lane for a screening of “The Princess Bride.” If you miss it, don’t worry, other films in the kid-friendly series include “The Lion King” (March 27), “The Emoji Movie” (April 3), “Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone” (April 10) and “Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope” (May 15). Bring your own rodent of unusual size, we guess.

parkCINEMA: “The Princess Bride.” Fri. March 13, 7 p.m. Free. Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, 1001 N. Blvd., Tampa. local.cltampa.com
