Japanese puppeteer Yanomi Shoshinz will perform "Happy Go Lucky" three separate times at Tampa Fringe Festival.
Every year, cities across the world celebrate their beloved alternative and experimental artists by hosting an annual Fringe Festival—and Tampa’s no different.
Ybor City's Kress Collective is the home of 2023’s Fringe Fest— which hosts over two dozen performances between Wednesday, May 10 and Sunday, May 14— featuring artists from Tampa Bay and beyond. From stand up comedy and performance art to satirical Shakespeare-inspired plays and “mystic rock operas,” this festival showcases all of the creative folks that might fall between the cracks of the mainstream.
As a member of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals, Tampa’s annual celebration must promote inclusivity, allow for creative freedom and give 100% of the base ticket price to artists.
While prices to different performances may vary, most Fringe Fest sets cost $15 to access. For more information on Tampa Fringe Festival's schedule head to tampafringe.org.
