Ever wondered what it’s like to be on a gay water polo team on the way to the Gay Olympics (like in The Shiny Shrimps, pictured)? What about the nuances of being mistaken for a transgender man, running with it just to get a girl and then hurting a bunch of people on the process? Maybe you’re curious about how evangelicals deal with their gay and trans kids while trying to have a relationship with their church? Those are just some of the topics being explored at the Tampa Bay Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival kicking off October 4 and taking over both Tampa Theatre and the Metro Wellness and Community Center until October 12.
