Ready to take a selfie with a goat?
Dancing Goat—located at 12502 Maverick Court in Tampa—is ready to make that dream come true during its upcoming Farm Day. From 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, you and your gang can take a guided tour or wander aimlessly, while saving time for supervised encounters with the farm's goats.
Treats will be available for purchase, so please don't bring your own.
Emus, which are the newest arrival to the farm, may also be stroked.
The day will be filled with live music, food and drinks for purchase, plant vendors and milking demonstrations. Don't get carried away though—visitors are asked to not gather eggs, pick produce, enter animal pens or the gardens unattended. And don't even think about going into private areas without permission.
Admission is $4-$8, and kids under five years old get in free, but keep an eye on your damn kids.
A warning on the Facebook event page cheekily reads, "This is a working farm and there are many temptations and dangers! Unattended children will be given a large Mountain Dew, free kitten and allowed to climb manure mountain....well not really but you catch the drift."
Although this is a prime opportunity for social media content, the farm encourages visitors to dress appropriately as there is uneven ground and pavers on-site.
If you can't make it to Farm Day, Dancing Goat is on AirBnB Experiences, where guests can sign up to visit the farm for two hours for $49 a person. Throughout the tour, guests will visit the creatures on the farm from ducks to goats to fostered kittens. A tour of the milking parlor is also on the agenda along with a sampling of cheese made on the farm.
